This Privacy Policy explains how Tikora ("Tikora", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Tikora mobile app and the website tikoralearn.com. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Data we collect
Account information
When you sign in with email, Google, or Apple, we collect basic account details such as your email address and, if you provide it, your name. With Sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your email address.
Learning data
We store progress information such as completed lessons, words learned, daily activity, streaks, and goals so we can personalize your experience and sync it across your devices.
Purchase information
If you subscribe to Premium, purchases are processed through the App Store or Google Play. We do not see or store your payment card details; subscription status is managed through our partner RevenueCat.
Device and usage information
To keep the app running and improve it, we may collect technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, language preference, and anonymous usage or crash data.
Website analytics
On tikoralearn.com we use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they read. It records aggregated information such as page views, approximate country, browser, and device type, and stores cookies on your device for this purpose. We do not use it to identify you personally. You can block these cookies through your browser settings or by using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
2. How we use your data
- Create your account, let you sign in, and verify your identity,
- Save your learning progress and sync it across devices,
- Manage your subscription and access to premium features,
- Improve the app, fix bugs, and measure performance,
- Send reminder notifications when you have opted in,
- Meet legal obligations and prevent abuse.
3. Third-party services
We use trusted partners to provide the Service. They only access the data needed to deliver their services:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and storage (account and progress data).
- Google — Sign in with Google, Google AdMob (ads), and Google Analytics (website traffic statistics).
- Apple — Sign in with Apple.
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management.
Each provider has its own privacy policy and processes your data under its own terms.
4. Advertising
The free version of Tikora may show ads through Google AdMob. Ads may use your device's advertising identifier to show relevant content. For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, personalized ads are shown only with your explicit consent; you can manage consent in your device settings at any time. Premium subscribers do not see ads.
5. Data retention and security
We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the Service and as required by law. Data is encrypted in transit and stored on secure servers. Sensitive session data on your device is protected with secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or similar laws), you may have the right to:
- Access your data and request a copy,
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data,
- Ask us to delete your data,
- Object to or restrict processing,
- Withdraw notification and advertising consent.

7. Account and data deletion
You can permanently delete your account and related data from inside the app: Settings → Delete Account. This removes your account, learning progress, and profile information permanently. You can also email the same request to support@tikoralearn.com.
8. Children's privacy
Tikora is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that a child has provided us with data, we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will announce material changes in the app or on this page. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version.
